Review:
Unenchanted (An Unfortunate Fairy Tale #1) by Chanda Hahn takes a unique twist on fairy tales. As soon as I started reading this book, I could not stop! It is such an easy read, and I finished it in a little over two hours. I love reading fairy tale remakes, and this book takes the Grimm Fairy Tales to a whole new level.

The main character, Mina, is a shy, clumsy, awkward girl that is just trying to get through high school without being noticed. Of course, that all changes when she saves Brody's life. My favorite character was Mina's best friend, Nan because she is so confident in herself. I love how fun and upbeat she is throughout the whole book. I could have done without all her Twitter references, but I still loved her.

There were a few things I did not like about this book. The first and most annoying is the grammatical and spelling errors. It was as if parts of this book were not even edited, which made reading slightly less enjoyable. Don't get me wrong! I still enjoyed the story quite a bit, but a little spell check and proofreading never hurt anyone.

Another issue I had with this book is that some parts felt rushed. These parts made the book feel unfinished because the story just jumped from one thing to another without any sort of transition. There were also a few inconsistencies I noticed throughout the story.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, and I plan on reading the next book in the series. The ending was perfectly grim, and left me feeling sad for Mina. I am looking forward to seeing where Chanda Hahn takes Mina next!
