This week’s question isn’t a question at all! I thought I would do things a little differently this week and give all of you a chance to promote a giveaway (or two!) from the blogosphere.

The catch?

IT CAN’T BE YOUR OWN GIVEAWAY!

You have to find another blogger who is having a giveaway and promote their giveaway for them! If possible, promote a giveaway from a blogger doing the Hop (hey, you are visiting other blogs anyway, right?). Have fun with this one! It’s not an easy task this week!

"Why do you read the genre that you do? What draws you to it?"

Answer:
I read a wide variety of genres, so I guess what draws me to the books I read is the story itself. If it sounds interesting whether it is YA, paranormal, fantasy, contemporary, etc, I will read it. I do mostly read YA books probably because there are such a wide variety of genres within YA.

"What book influenced or changed your life? How did it influence/change you?"

Answer:

This is definitely a tough question. I think all books influence me in some way, but the one that influenced and changed me the most would have to be Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Twilight was the book that got me back into reading. Ever since I read it for the first time, I have been picking up book after book. I cannot stop reading now. It also screwed up my perception of men, but I have discovered since then that many books do that.

"What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?"

Answer:

I guess I consider the characters the most important in a story. If the characters are not interesting, the plot will fail no matter how great it is. I think the characters contribute to the plot more than anything.

"What is the thing you like most about reading book blogs? Is it the reviews, author guest posts, articles, giveaways, or something else entirely?"

Answer:

I would say all of the above. I love that book blogs provide a wide variety of posts. It makes it more exciting to read. I do love discovering new books through reviews, so I guess book reviews are my favorite :)

"What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you NOT enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review?"

Answer: One book that was hyped up that I did not like was Low Red Moon by Ivy Devlin. I just expected so much more, and it fell flat for me. I still posted an honest review about it. I like reading a wide variety of reviews from good to not so good. Everyone likes different things, so I think bloggers should post exactly what they think of the books they read.

"What is your favorite book cover?"

This is a difficult question. There are so many amazing book covers out there, but if I have to pick my favorite at the moment I would say it is Nightshade by Andrea Cremer. The cover for Nightshade is absolutely gorgeous. I love the colors and the picture and of course the sparkles!

Answer: Yes! I almost always start with the first title. I feel like I need to read the books in the correct order to get the most out of the story.

Answer: It is definitely sad when I lose followers, but if someone does not want to follow me anymore, that is their choice.

"What is the one bookish thing you would love to have, no matter the cost?"

Answer: I would love to have a room dedicated to being the library of the house. It would have built in bookshelves that would go from the floor to the ceiling. It would also have one of those cool rolling ladders so I can reach all of my books. Of course, there would have to be a bunch of comfy chairs and couches, a fireplace, and maybe a large window with a nice, comfortable window seat.

When you write reviews, do you write them as you are reading or wait until you have read the entire book?

Answer: I write my reviews after I have read the entire book. I actually have a spot on my desk right next to my computer for books I have finished that I need to review. Since I rarely write reviews as soon as I finish a book, I put a sticky note with notes about what I want to talk about during the review, so I do not forget.
