24 Hour Read-A-Thon!

I am participating in the 24 Hour Read-A-Thon! This is my first time participating, so I am excited! I hope to read ALL day, but I think that is unrealistic. My reading time has been lacking lately because of school, so I have a lot of catching up to do!

Here are the books I plan on reading:
  • Finish Vampirates: Empire of Night by Justin Somper
  • Finish Midnight Alley by Rachel Caine
  • Feast of Fools by Rachel Caine
  • The House of Dead Maids by Clare B. Dunkle
  • Wicked by Sara Shepard
  • Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Audiobook for anytime I can't sit down and read!
I hope I can get a good amount of reading done tomorrow!

Swords are for fighting,

  1. i've never thought about doing a 24 hour read-a-thon, I might do a 12 hour one as I do like my sleep. Excellent idea :)

  2. (Non)traditional Buddhist readathon blessing:

Just as the books fill the shelves,
Pile together on the floor and stack up on the table
So may the joy of the readathon
Flow forth to brighten your day and lift your spirit.
Books already read, books in progress and books yet to be read.

By the power of every word on the page
    May your book be delightful,
    As scary as Lovecraft’s Cthulhu
Or as sweet as a box of See’s candy.

Let the power of the images evoked by words
Keep you stay awake long through the night
    May no obstacle impede
    Your day filled with books.

For all of those who are reading today
Who follow in the path of Dewey
May your day be filled with the four blessings
Of fabulous books, tasty snacks, comfy chairs and joy.
