It starts off with Shay getting a phone call from his uncle who tells him they are moving to Vail, Colorado:
After taking a private jet to Colorado, Shay sees his new home for the first time. He is surprised by how big it is.
His uncle's job requires a lot of travel time, so he leaves Shay alone to get settled in the large estate. Shay has one good night of sleep, but after that he wakes up at 5:00 am each morning after hearing a crash. He has no idea where it came from. All he knows is that his new home is creepy with creepy pictures and statues all over the place.
His uncle only gave him one rule: Don't go in the library. Naturally, Shay becomes curious and turns to his facebook and blog friends to help him pick the lock.
Inside the library, Shay finds ordinary looking books, but they have interesting patterns inside them that seem to mean something:
