Waiting on Wednesday (14)...

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that I am eagerly anticipating.

This week's Waiting on Wednesday pick is:

Pegasus by Robin McKinley

Publication Date: November 2, 2010

A gorgeously-written fantasy about the friendship between a princess and her pegasus

Because of a thousand-year-old alliance between humans and pegasi, Princess Sylviianel is ceremonially bound to Ebon, her own pegasus, on her twelfth birthday. The two species coexist peacefully, despite the language barriers separating them. Humans and pegasi both rely on specially-trained Speaker magicians as the only means of real communication.

But it’s different for Sylvi and Ebon. They can understand each other. They quickly grow close—so close that their bond becomes a threat to the status quo—and possibly to the future safety of their two nations.

I recently discovered this book, and it sounds really interesting.

Swords are for fighting,

  1. It does sound interesting the whole pegasus thing. Great pik!

  2. aww! I'm looking forward to this one based solely on my love of horses :)

  3. I also have an affinity for horses and humans bonding with them. Sounds great!
